A couple of better close ups. There is still a visible gap between the cab roof and the cab side that need to be addressed and the cab interior needs to be completed. I want to fit a Ffestiniong style head lamp and coal and other details need adding to the tender. Having only seen this livery in paintings before I think it has a real 1920's feel, the yellow and green fits the art deco era well. Can't wait to have a couple of coaches in a matching livery. I have an unbuilt MSM kit for number 18 which I think will be heading to the work bench pretty soon!

  1. The pictures show the details very nicely. I am interested to see how you make the head lamp.

I never knew MSM made a kit for number 18. It's not in the catalogue I have. Do you have any more information about this kit?

  2. Oops you're right its 15/16. 18 would be great wouldn't it? I have been trying to get a price from Worsley Works to produce a full set of etches of FR coaches in 5.5mm scale. They need to do a full sheet to make it worth while. Are you interested in this? the more people who want them the better. I wanted some bow siders, brake vans and bug boxes…..

  3. I would be very interested in that. I have been meaning to ask them myself.

I would be particularly interested in a rebuilt No. 1/2, a 3rd in original condition and brake van 4/5. But it would be nice to have them all eventually...
